Jan Vrchlický Klatovy Grammar School

The grammar school in Klatovy is a school with a long tradition; was founded in 1812. In 2012, it celebrated its 200th anniversary. At present, the school opens four-year, six-year and eight-year studies.

In the school year 2015/16, the grammar school has 22 classes and over 630 students, the school employs 57 ped. workers and 12 operating forces. Teaching is 100% approved.

At the beginning of the study, the school does not divide the pupils into study branches. A more significant differentiation of teaching according to the future focus of the student is achieved far better through a wide range of optional subjects, in the last years of study richly hourly subsidized. Therefore, together with the required general outlook, the school provides a wide range of training options according to the specific focus of the student (science, technology, humanities, etc.).
